Are there any plans of bringing back the Forums? Or can us members now use the Blog to share feedback? Thanks, by the way, for bringing the blogging community to WeatherTap. It's been a great addition...

Rob P:

The intent was to replace the forums with the blog. The trick is to get enough activity to justify keeping it up. We were hoping to get more people involved but it has gotten off to a slow start.

Thanks for letting me know, Rob... I'm an avid blogger myself, so I welcome the change. I'm not quite sure why it hasn't really taken off like you planned. But, I hope it does, eventually.

On a another note, is there any word on getting Level II data to the individual radar sites?

Rob P:

Yes indeed. We've made quite a bit of progress on individual Level-II. Not quite ready to announce anything, but I can promise that it will be well received.

Thanks for the quick responses, Rob. I'm looking forward to the new data! Can you leak a little information as to a when the data will be available? ;)

BTW, I'll be adding a link to the blog here on my own (http://fcst.blogspot.com). Maybe I can help spread the word.

Rob P:

Hard to say because we are still in development and it's notoriously hard to predict when software will be done. We're pretty close though.
